Definitely by reading together and setting a good example ourselves. And then?

I think the rest is play and empathy. Show them wonderful things so they’ll be curious. Get them involved so they’ll want to open a new book, to experiment!

How do you teach children to respect the pages of a book?

Normally, as we know, as we have been taught and as we explain to our children, books should not be torn. Never, ever. Absolutely. And that’s right. Because all books have a story to tell, and without pages they couldn’t tell it. All books except this one.

How? What!? Tear out the pages? That’s crazy!

This is the only book in the world created for children to destroy, or rather: to be manipulated and turned into confetti. It won’t follow your child around the world, it won’t languish on a shelf. It will be read only once and, happily, maybe by playing together, it will be torn into a thousand little coloured pieces.

And, just like other books, this one will also stop working once it’s torn. What will be left to the children, and those lucky enough to play with them, will be the experience they share and the pleasure of so much colourful confetti.
